Speaker 1:There are two basic healthcare documents. One is a living will and that's a document where you would indicate that you do not want extraordinary measures to be taken to keep you alive if you're brain dead or there's no hope of recovery. The other document is called the healthcare surrogate document. In that document you name an agent to make healthcare decisions on your behalf if you're unable to make them yourself. Presently under our law you can even give that agent the immediate power to make your decisions, and also you can give your agent the immediate power to have access to your medical records, which is a great idea.
